Oh, I'm with you Kim!

My daughter did the same thing, and especially when she was a preschooler, I would have to give her the "you just have to stop talking for a while" line. I still hear her talking to herself in the bathroom or in her room, but she's almost 10 now, and seems to have quieted down. One thing that helped us was her learning to (and loving to) read. At least in the car she often has her nose in a book.

Now Kyle (4) talks all the time. He talks to (and about) his trains when he's playing. He talks himself to sleep, and he talks in the middle of the night if he wakes up. Will he slow down in a few years? That remains to be seen.

I love that they talk to me, but it does wear you out, doesn't it?
