she offers to let you bring your wet clothes over to her house. Thank you. I just may be calling tomorrow.
As of Sunday, my dryer went into a coma. Today, Wednesday, the repairman informed me that it was hopeless unless I wanted to insure its life with a $400 new motor. No. It's time to let it go.
Past my grief, I started researching reviews on dryers. I had a budget and a few great dryers to choose from. I was ready for my new adoption.
Tonight, my husband and I traveled to many stores. No one had a dryer in stock. What happened to next day delivery? Even our large home merchandise stores couldn't get me a dryer within a few business days. What?! When I was told at the last store that we could get one by next Friday (over a week!), I had had enough. I demanded to go home and have a glass of wine.
So, tomorrow I will go to an appliance store down the road. And think of a few more stores to call. And lastly, I will just go online and order one and hope that it is here before my recently lost dryer begins rotting.
Having piles of laundry is making me crazy.
Most people that purchase appliances need one relatively quickly, right? Okay, I must. Stop. Now. But I can't. Can I just say one more thing? I was willing to drop quite a bit of money at several stores but left spending nothing because the merchandise had to be ordered and wouldn't be delivered for over a week. I even asked two different stores if I could have the floor model! Okay, yes, I was getting crazed.
So now I'll just look at my glass of wine and see it half full. After all, I get to visit with a good friend tomorrow. With my pile of wet clothes.
